About Scott Klumb

A photographer and professional filmmaker based in Boulder, CO, Scott Klumb is director of the documentary and memoir "Autism: One Man's Journey.” The film focuses on Scott Klumb’s own personal experience of a late diagnosis of autism and the road toward gaining perspective on what made him distinct from others for much of his life. Inspiring in its message, the film includes an interview with Dr. Temple Grandin, who is one of the highest-achieving public figures diagnosed with autism.

Mr. Klumb began as an action-sports filmmaker focused on skiing. His early work featured friends who had competed at the highest levels, including the X-Games and the Olympics. Since 2012, he has led SMK Media Production, LLC, and filmed for many industry-leading ski film companies, including Theory Three Media, Level 1 Productions, and ESPN.

With “Autism: One Man's Journey,” Mr. Klumb has achieved recognition such as inclusion in four film festivals. He was nominated as Best Director, Documentary Short in the First Glance festival in Hollywood. Scott Klumb has also taken part in fundraising events such as a virtual screening, from which ticket proceeds supported the nonprofit Teaching the Autism Community Trades.
